Last word in wake-up calls Truckie plays ace card after rude awakening A SNOOZING truckie has upset holidaymakers at a central New South Wales caravan park. After a gruelling 900km haul from Adelaide, the weary transport driver decided to pull over for a 4am rest at West Wyalong. Parked up on a dirt area near the Ace Caravan Park on the Newell Highway, he soon fell asleep. But it wasn't long before his dreams were interrupted by police hammering on his cab door. Apparently, people at the caravan park rang the boys in blue after being rudely awaked from their own slumbers by the truck's noisy refrigeration unit. But the truckie had the last word. After moving out to the Marsden parking bay he telephoned the park's management to announce he was awake ... "and just in case they needed a wake-up call as well!" BACK TO CARAVANNING NEWS MAIN PAGE
