STAFF at Adria dealership Euro RV in Brisbane were more than a little surprised when a customer arrived to collect his new caravan. There was no large grunty 4WD or high powered sedan in sight ... just a modest VW Caddy Van to tow the Adria Altea 432PX. And next day the caravanner – who wanted to remain anonymous – drove 2000km back to his home in Cairns, making it a 4000km round trip. Euro RV boss Eric De Cock commented: "When asked what initially attracted him to the 432PX the customer replied that after much research on the internet he found it was the only caravan his VW Caddy could tow." The Altea 432PX is rated at 1300kg ATM, while the Caddy's turbo diesel engine produces 77kW and 250Nm of torque.
