BIG4 reveals status of its parks in wake of Debbie

BIG4 has provided updates on the state of its parks in the wake of Cyclone Debbie.

Some within Queensland and NSW were impacted by the recent storm. including six in the region where the cyclone made landfall.

Unless mentioned below, all BIG4 parks in south-east Queensland, the wider Rockhampton area and northern NSW are now trading as normal and are open for bookings.

But travellers should first check whether roads are open and other essential information, the holiday parks chain emphasised.

Queensland Status update:

From north to south, these affected parks have reported the following status updates as at 6 April:

BIG4 Adventure Whitsundays Resort (Airlie Beach) – Closed until 18 April
07 4948 5400. The park continues to have no power and the tree clean-up is underway.

BIG4 Airlie Cove Resort and Caravan Park – closed until further notice

BIG4 Capricorn Palms Holiday Village (Yeppoon) – Open
07 4933 6144. The park has not been affected by the storms or flood. However, road detours may be in place.

Discovery Parks - Rockhampton – Open
07 4926 3822. The park is open for business and doesn’t expect to be impacted by the flooding of the Fitzroy River. Road detours may be in place.

Northern NSW Status Update:
