FEBRUARY 12:
WA's City of Wanneroo looking for people to join new advisory group which will shape future of caravan/tourist park at the previous Quinns Rocks Caravan Park site.

FEBRUARY 12:
Bark Hut on the NT's Arnhem Highway will add nearly $1m to a $150,000 grant from the Territory's government to provide 50 new powered sites, two new camp kitchen barbeque areas and install a jumping pillow for children. Bark Hut owner Grahame Wilcox commented: "This funding will give our business a leg-up, and we can't wait to get started on the renovations and to show locals and visitors just what Bark Hut has to offer."

FEBRUARY 12:
Ingenia, which operates a chain of holiday and lifestyle parks, has secured a $75 million loan from the federal government's green finance fund to boost its carbon reduction and for energy initiatives. It aims to reduce carbon emissions by 30 percent in the next five years.

FEBRUARY 10:
Victoria's Surf Coast Shire has received nearly 200 objections to plans for a multi-million dollar caravan park to be built on the iconic Great Ocean Road near Torquay. A decision will be made by councillors on February 23.

FEBRUARY 8:
Victoria's Geelong City Council has clamped down on illegal campers at Eastern Beach Reserve, issuing several infringement notices. It has warned of increased patrols between dusk and dawn and maximum fines of $1500.

Rescue helicopter airlifts man to hospital after collision involving caravan and van on NSW's Pacific Highway at Yamba Rd off-ramp this morning.

FEBRUARY 6:
Fire crews called to blaze involving transportable home at Banana Coast Caravan Park on Pacific Hwy at Coffs Harbour yesterday afternoon. No reports of injuries.

Stolen New Age caravanFEBRUARY 5:
Caravan crooks have struck again. A New Age Mantaray caravan rego TF38NE was stolen from outside house in Kahibah, Newcastle, NSW, last night. Anyone with information can contact police or its owner Shaun Egan via his web page

FEBRUARY 5:
Mongans Bridge Camping Park will upgrade its amenities block to include disabled facilities thanks to a $385,000 grant from the Victorian Government's Great Outdoors program.

FEBRUARY 4:
Shares in Ingenia Communities, which operate a chain of lifestyle and tourist parks, opened at a 12-month high of $5.48 today.

FEBRUARY 4:
Notice from lawyers on gates of Jurgens caravan factory in Pakenham, Victoria, orders the manufacturer to quit the premises. Meanwhile, owner Paul Kyriacou has posted a notice on its Facebook page saying that the company was "committed" to continued manufacturing in Australia and would be moving to new premises. "Our factory relocation has been precipitated by a dispute with the landlord," he wrote.

FEBRUARY 4:
Shares in Fleetwood, which operates Camec and Melbourne-based Northern RV, soared 10 percent to close at $2.56 after it announced its half-year results yesterday. Preliminary unaudited results for the preiod indicate an EBITA of $15 to $16 million.

FEBRUARY 2:
Locals fear local wildlife would be put in danger if plans for a $30m caravan and tourist park at Victoria's Kirwans Bridge in Nagambie get the go-ahead.

FEBRUARY 1:
Councillors will tomorrow decide whether to implement "dynamic pricing" at their NRMA-managed Shellharbour Beach Holiday Park in NSW, which would mean fees could be adjusted according to demand. The system is already used by other parks in the area.
