Legends and pioneers honoured Awards recognise THE Caravan Industry Association Victoria hosted its prestigious annual Hall of Fame Industry Awards and Gala event at Melbourne Crown Palladium. The theme was set, dining in the outback under the southern stars with over 550 people in attendance, a great fit for the caravan industry. Sponsored by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and AL-KO International, the awards honoured the achievements and excellence of CIA VIC members. "The association has a long tradition of recognising people who have contributed so much to the industry, and our prestigious Hall of Fame awards recognise both past and present pioneers of our industry," chief executive Rob Lucas said. CIA VIC honoured four well deserving pioneers and legends of the caravan industry and inducted them into the 2016 Hall of Fame. They have made significant achievements within their business and are well respected within the industry. They were Keith Winser, Mike Collins, Tony Briant and Joan Tullo. "With nominations assessed by four independent judges, the awards recognise members for their outstanding business and personal performance throughout the past 12 months, and take into account a wide range of criteria," Mr Lucas said. CIA Victorian Business Awards for best manufacturer, dealer/retailer, service and repairer, and industry awards for young achiever and service to industry were also made. Awards were:
George Pantazopoulos Young Achiever
Award: Ryan Johannsson
from Goldstream RV. Also acknowledged on the night was Caravan World's managing editor Max Taylor, who received the Media Award in recognition for outstanding commitment and promotion of the caravan industry. BACK TO CARAVANNING NEWS MAIN PAGE No part of this
