AUSTRALIA'S peak body for the nation's caravan industry has formed a partnership with DLL.

The Caravan Industry Association of Australia said it welcomed the leading global vendor finance company to its National Industry Sponsor family.

The association and DLL's Commercial Finance Business Unit would work together to bring awareness of DLL's floorplan financing solutions to RV and caravan manufacturers and dealers, it explained.

Headquartered in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, DLL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rabobank Group, with a portfolio of over €35Bn.

"Not only do they help finance some of the world's largest RV companies, but many of us also benefit unknowingly from DLL with your photocopier or computer software potentially supported through a DLL finance solution," the association said.

Its chief executive Stuart Lamont was "excited" by the relationship, which would aim to increase exposure of the DLL brand to the Australian caravanning and camping industry in return for financial support.

He said it would continue to allow the association to deliver on its core pillars of marketing, advocacy, research, and compliance and accreditation.

"The more we investigated the finance products available to industry businesses through DLL, the more excited we became," he said.

"Whether it was floorplan for RV product, or customised chattel finance solutions for the likes of manufacturing equipment, golf carts or fleet vehicles through to cabin financing for caravan holiday parks, DLL can provide financing solutions for our wide range of industry sectors."

DLL has more than 50 years of global industry experience and has been heavily involved in the agricultural sector within Australia for over 25 years.

'Strongly expanded its worldwide RV exposure'

In recent years, it has strongly expanded its worldwide RV exposure and is committed to growing the local RV portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

DLL's country sales manager of commercial finance Daniel Foster is already very familiar with the Australian RV market and is "excited and passionate" about helping grow the sector even further.

"The market is changing rapidly and so too is the need for innovative and customised financing solutions to allow to keep up," he said.

He recognised that in today's world, finance companies needed to be more than just a transactional partner, and was keen to build genuine and sustainable business partnerships.

"The Australian RV industry is very much a growth sector in the Australian economy, and we are very excited by its continued prospects," Mr Foster said.

"We look forward to growing with the industry and supporting it, starting with our partnership with Caravan Industry Association of Australia."

One RV company already benefitting from their DLL relationship is Apollo Tourism and Leisure.

Chief executive and managing director Luke Trouchet said his company liked DLL's flexibility.

"Rather than just helping us with some of our financing, the company has the ability to be that all-encompassing partner to us," he explained.

"Since DLL has come onboard, we have been extremely impressed with their service and offering."
