'Risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or fire'

National recall after fears motorhome gas pipes could develop lethal leaks

Adria motorome Have your say

FEARS that gas pipes to ovens in some motorhomes could spring a leak have sparked a national recall.

"LPG gas may accumulate within the enclosed area of the caravan and there may be risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or fire, which could result in serious illness, injury or death," national consumer watchdog ACCC says.

It is suspected that the gas oven in some motorhomes may not be securely mounted which could cause its gas line to develop a leak.

"Consumers should stop using the gas oven in their caravan and isolate the gas oven by turning off the isolation valve," ACCC said.

Adria Coral models which could be affected include 660 DU, Plus 660 DU, 660 SCS, Plus 660 SCS and XL 660 SCS.

Traders who sold Adria Coral motorhomes between January 2014 to November 2020 include Kratzmann Caravans Qld, Sydney RV NSW, George Day Caravans WA, Apollo RV Qld, NSW, Vic, SA, NT and Tasmania and Patto's RV Centre Vic.

ACCC says that AMH Products Pty Limited will contact affected owners in writing and request they make an appointment to have their vehicle modified free of charge.

For further information, consumers can contact AMH Products on 1800 370 783 or email aftersales@adriaau.com.au..
