TRAVELLERS will gorge themselves on a feast of entertainment at a Queensland caravan park next month.

The BIG4 Cania Gorge Caravan and Tourist Park near Monto will stage its first ever Talent in the Gorge event from November 28 to December 6 ... and there'll be $6000 up for grabs.

Park owner Peter Rankin told Caravanning News: "So far we have a few poets and some singers coming along, but it's open to all people staying at our park. There's no entry fee for the performers, but they do have to stay here and pay for their accommodation."

Mr Rankin said that in addition to the prize money, the four-star park had attracted some sponsorship from businesses in Monto.

"It doesn't have to be big in its first year ... but all good things grow. We think it should be lots of fun," he added.

Events include the park's highly popular bird feeding, wine tasting and free open-air movies.

There will also be performers on stage, line dancing, old time dancing, camp oven dinners, special breakfasts and dinners, bush walks, golf and fishing.

For more information, contact the caravan park on 07 4167 8188 or email.
