Warming hot chocolate: ideal for a winter BIG4 Kids Stay Free getaway

DOZENS of caravan parks will welcome children with open arms for the next two months ... and it won't cost parents a cent.

BIG4's national Kids Stay Free promotion will give young families the opportunity to get away and treat the whole family to a weekend or a short break.

Children will be able to stay free until the end of August for stays of two nights or more at over 50 BIG4 holiday parks, many of which are state and national award winners with world class facilities.

BIG4 Holiday Parks marketing general manager Kari Hunter said families would be able to take a winter fun and affordable getaway they may not have been planning.

"This promotion provides a great opportunity for families to get away during winter and break up the mid-year holiday drought. With so many of our parks involved across Australia, it gives families the perfect excuse to escape and have a change of scenery midweek, or for a weekend of fun," she added.

For those in Victoria wanting to escape the chill, she suggested somewhere a little warmer like Deniliquin, just over the border in New South Wales. Those wanting to embrace winter and enjoy a little skiing could head to Porepunkah Mill Holiday Park at the base of Mt Buffalo in Victoria.

BIG4 parks offer a range of accommodation to suit all budgets, with all the facilities that kids love, including famous giant jumping pillows, adventure playgrounds, heated swimming pools, tennis courts and more.
