Awards of Excellence showcase NSW's best

Have your say

NSW's recent Awards of Excellence showcased the best in the state's holiday parks and residential communities, quality dealerships and service providers, and manufacturing excellence.

"They are a hallmark of outstanding quality and service and form a valuable part of the ongoing success of our industry," Caravan & Camping Industry Association of NSW president Theo Whitmont said.

"In the past year where we have seen a remarkable 22 percent increase in the number of visitor nights spent in caravan parks and campsites across NSW and this has come in large part as a result of the high standards of service and product offerings being delivered by our members.

"Our members across NSW have been instrumental in helping to deliver this success through their great products, high standards and commitment to customer service."

Of significant note were two 'Best of the Best' awards for Trade and Park, he said.

These went to Trade winner Jayco Newcastle and Park winner Coffs Harbour's Park Beach Holiday Park.

Jayco Newcastle has been a well-known and trusted dealership in its area for over 30 years and has a passion and commitment to helping customers find the right caravan for their needs.

"They see their role as not just selling caravans, but a lifestyle that promotes family, adventure, travel and exploration of our beautiful country," Mr Whitmont said.

The 4.5-star Park Beach Holiday Park offered a range of activities, facilities and more than 280 accommodation options from camping to villas.

"With such an outstanding range of facilities and activities, it is truly committed to providing their visitors with a fabulous,
relaxing holiday and wonderful memories," Mr Whitmont said.

The industry also recognised the outstanding commitment of individuals with Employee of the Year and the Young Achiever awards.

These went to:

• Jon McGuiggan from Avida RV - Employee of the Year, Product & Services
• Robyn Turner from BIG4 Karuah Jetty - Employee of the Year Holiday, Tourist & Resort Parks
