ORGANISERS of last month's caravan show at Melbourne Showgrounds have
dubbed it a "spectacular success".
Tens of thousands of enthusiasts flocked to the Victorian Caravan, Camping
& Touring Supershow, which was making its second appearance at the venue.
During its six-day run, a total of 50,418 visitors were inspired to 'Go

offer.
There were informative seminars from a range of expert speakers, live
entertainment and cooking demonstrations.
Other attractions included the D-MAX Iron Summit, the Yamaha Supertank and
the Tourism NT Watering Hole.
The Go Make Some Memories Passport to Freedom competition was as popular
as ever, with C. Christmas of Bright taking home the major prize, a
Franklin 1970 series caravan worth over $35,000.
"Congratulations to all of our prizewinners and especially to Mrs
Christmas on winning a brand new caravan," Caravan Industry Association
Victoria chief executive Rob Lucas said.
"We hope it brings her family years of happy memories."
Mr Lucas said the stable of exhibitors continued to get better and better
each year at the Supershow.
"This year in particular we noticed and appreciated the extra effort they
went to in order to give our visitors the best possible day out," he
