AVIDA SET TO ENTER CARAVAN MARKET

Have your say

AVIDA, the rebranded name behind the former Australian-based Winnebago-built motorhomes, will soon be manufacturing caravans, it has been revealed.

The company says the caravans will boast a huge list of features and an outstanding build quality.

Each Avida caravan would be manufactured to exacting specifications in its technologically advanced computer controlled factory at Emu Plains, a suburb west of Sydney.

Body panels, floor, walls and roof will be made from a uniquely manufactured sandwich panel offering more insulation than any other caravan on the market, Avida says.

Environmentally-friendly synthetic "Superlight" panels will provide more strength than traditional plywood ones found in other caravans.

The company points out they are lighter and will not rot.

The roof of each Avida caravan will be a one-piece fully insulated fibreglass wrap-around panel which will not suffer the problem of traditional caravans with multiple joins on the roof where metal panels meet, increasing the chance of water leaks.

Avida caravan roofs will have no joins and will be strong enough to walk on.

The company's caravans will carry a factory-backed two-year warranty and five-year structural guarantee, together with a two-year free emergency roadside assist program.

The first service will be free and there will be a national accredited and trained service network to assist if required.
