Simple way to obey limits

Speed alertNew speed alert helps prevent confusion

CARAVANNERS confused with varying speed limits may find a new dashboard-mounted speed alert useful.

Simple to use, the desired speed limit is scrolled up or down at the touch of a button. Speed settings are made in 1km increments. Pressing the 'set' button locks in your current speed.

In the event of a driver speeding, a LED warning light illuminates and a buzzer alerts the driver.

A relay output connection is also provided to allow additional external warning devices to be connected as required.

A valuable additional benefit built into the Speed Alert is a headlight warning alarm which activates in the event of a driver forgetting to switch them off when leaving the vehicle.

VDO's Speed Alert is designed to operate off a speed signal source, but if this is not available – as on vehicles with mechanical speedometers – a special speed sensor kit is available under VDO Part No 412.009.

The new VDO Speed Alert is available from leading automotive and transport outlets throughout Australia under Part No 124.130.
