A scene from last year's Victorian supershow

Children's zones will add to the experience

Victoria's supershow will cater for all the family

Have your say

ALL family members will be catered for at the upcoming Victorian Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow, organisers have promised.

The six-day event will feature free showbags, an abundance of entertainment, food outlets, cooking demonstrations and more.

And two new children's zones sponsored by CIL Caravan and RV Insurance will be opened to add to the overall family experience.

The supershow will return to the Melbourne Showgrounds and showcase a vast range of the industry's finest and most innovative products.

Organised by the Caravan Industry Association Victoria, it will be held from February 22 to 27.

Association chief executive Rob Lucas said the event had been held at the showgrounds for two years, adding: "We are now really hitting our stride."

"Each year we review both patron and exhibitors' feedback to ensure the supershow continues to grow in quality and experience for all involved – our aim is for each patron to have a lasting memory of their visit," he said.

This year would offer:

• A changed layout.
• Plenty of parking.
• Public transport options including trains direct to the front gate on both the Saturday and Sunday.
• Courtesy golf carts to save tired feet.
• The option of buying tickets online.

"All who attend, from the novice to the experienced caravan enthusiast, will find something to make their next outdoor adventure a memorable one for all the right reasons," Mr Lucas said.

The supershow demonstrated the industry's most innovative and new products including caravans, RVs, camping gear and outdoor accessories ... just to name a few.

Experts would present a series of product demonstrations and informative seminars at the event, sharing hints and tips from their personal experiences.

Mr Lucas pointed out that Victoria's caravan and camping sector was one of the biggest industries in the state.

"It is essential we provide a platform for the industry to be showcased to the public and assist them with understanding the possibilities of the great Australian outdoor lifestyle," he said.

"This year we will also be launching The Walkabout Stage and The Outback Seminar Dome, with both areas offering a broad range of programs.

"These rejuvenated areas ‒ along with the children's zones featuring Tammy the Tent and Corey the Caravan mascots from the Caravanning Explorer’s Club ‒ will provide an enhanced and special experience for the whole family."
