ZONE RV on Queensland's Sunshine Coast has invested $7.5 million in a new 5000-square-metre facility to meet rising orders.

The off-road caravan manufacturer in Coolum Eco Industrial Park says the new factory will be ready later this year and the company is entering "one of the most exciting periods" in its history.

Zone RV has enjoyed phenomenal growth since beginning as a start-up business in 2015.

It uses innovative composite structures and cutting-edge technologies to create caravans which are lighter, stronger and safer than those made with traditional manufacturing methods.

The company is reported to be on track to inject a forecast $31 million into the economy during construction, with ongoing operations generating 124 new full-time positions.

During a visit to the site, Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson congratulated the company for its input to the local economy, adding: "I am pleased that ZONE RV has been, and continues to be, supported by council through its Sunshine Coast Economic Resurgence Plan."

ZONE RV chief executive Adrian Toft said he was excited the new facility would have the biggest 3D printer in the Southern Hemisphere.

The company is putting the finishing touches on a new range, which includes an entirely new model described as its most adventurous off-road caravan to date.
